Privacy Policy - Ellipse

Starwelds Desenvolvimento de Jogos LTDA ("Starwelds", "we", "our", or "us") operates the mobile game Ellipse (the "App"), distributed through Google Play and the Apple App Store.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, why we collect it, who processes it on our behalf, how long we keep it, and what choices you have.

Ellipse does not require an account, does not ask you to give us your name, email address or phone number, and does not display advertising.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect information about how the App is used and how it performs. We do not collect information that identifies you personally.

a) Gameplay and usage data

To understand how players experience the game and where they get stuck, the App records events such as: opening the menu, opening the rocket builder, placing rocket parts, launching a craft, altitude reached, reaching space, entering orbit, landing, crashing, completing a mission, using time warp, opening the map view, and how long a play session lasted.

These events describe actions inside the game. They do not contain any message, name, or other content that you write.

b) Device and performance data

Device model, manufacturer, operating system version, system language, amount of memory, graphics processor, number of processor cores, screen size and refresh rate, the App's version, average and minimum frame rate, and low-memory conditions.

c) Crash and error data

When the App crashes or hits an error, we receive a diagnostic report containing the technical cause of the crash, the state of the device at that moment, the App version, and which part of the game you were in.

d) Identifiers

An app instance identifier: a random number generated on your device when the App is first installed, used to group events coming from the same installation so that we can tell one player's progress apart from another's. It is not your name, your account, or your device's advertising ID. It is reset if you uninstall and reinstall the App, or clear the App's data.

The App does not collect the Android Advertising ID or the Apple IDFA, and does not use them for advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking.

e) Approximate location

We do not request access to your device's location, and the App cannot read your GPS position. Our analytics provider derives an approximate region (such as country) from the internet address used to send the data, so that we can see which countries our players are in. The internet address itself is not stored by us.

f) Purchases

If you buy an in-app product, the transaction is processed by Google Play (on Android) or the Apple App Store (on iOS). We never receive or store your payment card, bank details, or billing address. We do receive confirmation that a purchase happened, which product it was, and its price and currency, so that the content can be unlocked and so that we can measure sales.

g) What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, microphone or camera input, precise location, browsing history, health data, or biometric data. The App contains no advertising SDKs and no social network logins.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information described above only to:

• operate the App and keep purchased content unlocked;

• find and fix crashes, errors, and performance problems;

• understand which parts of the game are confusing or too difficult, and improve them;

• measure how many people play, on which devices, and in which countries;

• measure sales of in-app products.

We do not use this information to build advertising profiles, to show you ads, or to make automated decisions about you.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following service providers, which process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms:

• Google Analytics for Firebase (Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd.) - gameplay events, device and performance data, the app instance identifier, and approximate region.

• Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd.) - crash and error reports.

• Google BigQuery (Google LLC) - storage of the data above, for our own analysis.

• Google Play Billing (Google LLC) - purchases made on Android.

• Apple App Store and In-App Purchase (Apple Inc.) - purchases made on iOS.

Because these providers operate globally, the data may be stored and processed on servers outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, such transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data, and we do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers.

We share data only with the service providers listed in section 3, who may use it solely to provide their service to us, and only if we are legally required to disclose it in response to a valid legal request.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

For players in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, our legal bases under the GDPR are:

• Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) for analytics, crash reporting, and performance measurement. Our interest is in keeping the game working and improving it. We limit this to pseudonymous data about how the App is used, and we do not use it for advertising.

• Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) for processing in-app purchases and unlocking the content you bought.

For players in Brazil, the equivalent bases under the LGPD are legitimate interest (Art. 7, IX) and performance of a contract (Art. 7, V).

6. Data Retention

• Gameplay, device, and performance events: retained for 14 months, after which they are deleted automatically.

• Copies exported to BigQuery for our own analysis: retained for up to 24 months.

• Crash reports: retained for up to 90 days.

• Aggregated statistics that can no longer be linked to a single installation (for example, "how many players reached orbit last month") may be kept indefinitely.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the data we hold about you, to request its correction or deletion, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, or to request a copy of your data.

Because the App collects no account or contact details, the data we hold is not linked to your identity, and we normally have no way to find "your" records from your name or email alone. To act on a request we therefore need the app instance identifier of your installation. Contact us at contact@starwelds.com and we will explain how to retrieve it and then locate, export, or delete the corresponding records.

Deleting your data

You can request deletion of the data associated with your installation at any time by emailing contact@starwelds.com with the subject line "Data deletion request". We respond within 30 days.

You can also stop all further collection, and cause the existing identifier to be discarded, by uninstalling the App or clearing its data in your device settings. Purchases are tied to your Google or Apple account rather than to this identifier, and are not lost when you do so.

Residents of the EEA and the UK also have the right to lodge a complaint with their national data protection authority. Residents of Brazil may contact the ANPD.

8. Children's Privacy

Ellipse is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. The App shows no advertising, contains no advertising identifiers, and has no chat, social features, or user-to-user contact.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, contact us at contact@starwelds.com and we will delete it.

9. Security

Data is transmitted from the App over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and is stored by our providers on access-controlled systems. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical measures to protect the information we hold.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App changes. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and publish the new version at this address. If a change materially expands what we collect, we will announce it in the App's release notes.
